It seems inevitable that as the new year approaches-we all start thinking about it as a clean slate-a chance to start over. With the housing market in turmoil and the high cost of gas prices, on this New Year’s Eve, I encourage you to really start thinking about that old saying, health, wealth and happiness.
How is your financial wealth? Is it healthy or does it need some serious attention? If so, that make your new year’s resolution to become fiscally healthy. Your local credit union can help. Compare what rates are out there-like interest checking, money market accounts, etc. Are you making wise decisions and thinking long term or do you hop around to see how you can make money the fastest. With the twists and turns in our current economic state, it may make the most sense to start thinking long-term.
See where you can cut costs on those extraneous expenses, are they really necessary? And see what you could save monthly-it could really be the key to your financial health and wealth in 2009.
Whatever your resolution may be, I wish you and yours a healthy and wealthy Happy New Year filled with happiness.
Talk to you, next year!
