2nd Annual Cell Phone Drive Is On!

It’s baack! That’s right! Hopewell Federal Credit Union’s 2nd Annual Cell Phone Drive is going on now through October 31st. The month of October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and we’re doing our part to help break the cycle of violence in Licking County.

Simply, bring in your old cell phones and drop them off to either of our HFCU locations on Hopewell Drive in Heath, or North 21st street across from the Grill in Newark.

After the drive, we’ll take them to New Beginnings, the local domestic violence shelter in Licking County. The phones will be completely cleared of all prior information and reprogrammed to dial 9-1-1, in case of an emergency. These phones will be given to battered women for free.

We had such a successful drive last year, donating more than 100 phones to the shelter.  We’d like to donate even more this year, but we can’t without your help. So, before you go throwing that phone into a landfill, think twice! And bring it to Hopewell Federal Credit Union. With your help, we can break the cycle of violence.
