Another Reason Why We’re Different

You know, a few weeks ago, I was asked to respond on how bank’s are different from credit unions. And of course, while I could go on with my personal opinions for quite awhile, you can go back through and read my originial response – it got me thinking of another very important way of how banks differ from credit unions and that’s through shared branching.

Shared branching makes life easier for all credit union members. Thanks to shared branching whether you’re headed for the next town or going on your next vacation you’ll find a credit union ready to help. Plus, you can do the same kinds of transactions you do at your own cu-including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, balance transfers, money orders-even travelers checks. All you have to do is look for the shared branching cu swirl logo. For a sample of the swirl, check out our site, go to or call 1-800-919-2872 to find one of the more than 2,000 shared branches near you or the more than 50 branches across central Ohio.  Locally in Licking County, you can come to our place, Hopewell Federal, in Newark and Heath or CES or Fiberglas, to take care of your banking needs.

It’s really a cooperative effort and one I thought worth mentioning. Remember, if you have any financial questions or questions in general about credit unions, I’d be happy to help-so feel free to send them. Have a great week!
